Allison Rabe

Environmental Law Scholar – Class of 2023

Before UCI Law, Allison received her B.A. in Integrative Biology with a secondary in Neuroscience from Harvard University. She wrote her undergraduate thesis on the ecological and evolutionary impacts of a hurricane on island populations of arthropods and lizards. She has since published research in the field of evolutionary biology titled “Post-hurricane shifts in the morphology of island lizards.” Allison’s interest in the environment inspired her to pursue a career in environmental law, and she chose UCI Law for its strong clinical focus and emphasis on public interest lawyering. Now a 2L, she serves as the Director of Outreach for the Environmental Law Society. This semester, she is taking Climate Justice with Professor Robinson-Dorn and is working at UCI’s Environmental Law Clinic. Last summer, Allison interned with Just Atonement Inc. where she worked in climate litigation, human rights, and international law. There, her projects had a specific focus on tort law and the impact of climate change on human rights.
